MILWAUKEE, April 14 - Economic conditions have created hardship for many across our nation. Businesses have slashed promotional budgets. Advertising revenues for a popular Milwaukee area business publication are down 20% since the first of the year. Investments in events have been reduced even more sharply.
Believe • Create • BecomeTM (BCB) - Women's Revolution was created to be the antidote to this doom and gloom. The two-day event was designed to encourage and inspire every woman to develop the confidence to do extraordinary things. The BCB team believed it could overcome the fear and paralysis by offering a unique and compelling idea, and they gave it their all. Despite BCB's hard work and most sincere efforts, the event is at the mercy of this unprecedented time. Due to economic pressures beyond anyone's control, the event was forced to be postponed one year.
The BCB team is deeply concerned about delivering on the promises made to ticketholders, speakers, vendors and others. To thank ticketholders for their purchase, they will receive additional values including a rain check on the ticket purchase for next year, plus a free companion ticket, two free admissions of their choice to a host of mini-events that will run over the course of 2009 and a special inspiration packet designed to nurture their spirit and support their journey.
In adversity, we find blessings and strength. While this announcement is deeply disappointing and uncomfortable for the BCB team, they are determined to create even greater value for those that believe in their mission.
