Would you join a social group (fraternity, church, club) without knowing who the members were and details of the group's mission? I think about new gadgets this way. Also, It's not inexpensive to get in and it will cost you more to get out if you are not happy. Further, buying something on the premise that it's less expensive than something else is to ignore the intrinsic and consequential value of ownership. It's a tool. The value criteria should be around the efficiency or effectiveness of the tool to the purpose. In other words, wait and see. We don't have enough information to make an intelligent, informed decision.

Hey guys, thinking about getting a Palm Pre. $99/mo Everything plan + $199 Palm Pre = Cheaper than an Iphone. I also heard that the OS was built by former Apple developers so Apps will be easily ported over....
